ST1-125 - Ardkinglas Sheepdog Trials - Newspaper Report (1929)

Ardkinglas sheep dog trials were held at Cairndow on Saturday.  There were 31 dogs entered, and their work was very good, the winning dogs excelling themselves.  The secretaries were Messrs W. Weir and A. Macvicar; the judges were C. Brewster, Macpherson, and Alexander Hamilton.  Lady Noble took an active part in the meeting.  The prizes were, presented by Miss Rosemary Noble, Ardkinglas.  Results:- First prize, the St Catherine’s Cup and Ben Lomond Cups, awarded to J. A. McIntyre, Glendean, with Bess; 2nd, Duncan Sinclair with Ready; 3rd, A. Carmichael with Dusty; 4th, J. Stewart with Tweed; 5th, J. Shaw with Mate; 6th, D. Whyte with Tap; 7th James Helm with Miss; 8th, J. Henderson with Speed; 9th J. A. Macniven with Lass; 10th J. McDonald with Spring.
