Ardkinglas Sheep Dog Trials
Despite the showery weather, Ardkinglas sheep dog trials were attended on Saturday by a large number of spectators from many districts of Argyll. Achadunan Hill, on which the trials take place, is regarded as ideal ground for an event of this kind, and the sheep dogs are seen working under everyday conditions. Lady Noble and Mr Michael Noble gave much practical support to the trials, and during the day a large party was entertained to tea at Glenfyne Lodge.
Amongst those present at the trials wee lady Amy Noble, Lady Andrew Noble, Mr Michael Noble, Miss Anastasia Noble. Miss Joan Campbell of Strachur Park, the Hon. Arthur Murray and Mrs Murray, the Hon. Mrs Pease, Mr Maurice Pease, Maclachlan of Maclachlan and Mrs Maclachlan, Mrs Brooman Whyte, Mrs Clarke Brooman Whyte, Mr and Mrs Harvey Black, Captain Dunlop, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, and Mrs Dunlop; Viscountess Weir, Mr A.R. Page, Chamberlain of Argyll, and Mrs page; Mr G sime, Inveraray; Mr John Weir, Ardnoe; Mr Geo. Houston R.A., Mrs J. McKean, Benbuie; and Mr Robert Fraser, Inveraray.
Results of the trials were :-

R. Macdiarmid, Clachan, with Don.
