Extract from the Minutes of Cairndow Recreation Club
held in Argyll and Bute Council Archives Ref. DR/1/47
4th December, 1928
A discusssion next took place regarding programme for New Year’s Day.
It was agreed to hold Shinty Match on Rhu Mhor Park followed by dancing at Garage, also dance to be held in the Hall on the same night commencing at 9 p.m. Admission for same, Gents 2/6, Ladies 1/6.
On the motion of Mr. R. Cameron, seconded by Mr. J. Stewart, the committee agreed to purchase three bottles of whisky and three bottles of wine for refreshemnts on same day.
Mr. Nicol Luke agreed to undertake duties of M.C. at dance and Mr. H. MacIntyre also agreed to distribute spirits.
