Just to let everyone know reluctantly we are closing the Cairndow Post Office as from today.
When we took it on in 2015 we did so with the idea that it would be a service to the community.
With banks closing the Post Office stepped in and we were increasingly having to run more as a bank, including business banking. Other Post Offices closing led also to more pressure with considerable stress on our staff. The responsibility and time needed to cope with banking is way beyond what we set out to do.
