The Tinkers Heart

Historic Scotland place the Tinkers' Heart on the Schedule as a monument of national importance.

They consider the Tinkers' Heart as a site of high cultural significance in three main areas:

(1) it gives us a great understanding of the traditions and material heritage of Scottish Travellers;

(2) it is a rare example of a permanent physical monument of Scottish Travellers;

(3) it holds a high significance in the consciousness of Gypsy/Travellers and the people of Argyll as a symbol of Scottish Travellers and their heritage.

Our New Aquarium

Our new aquarium is starting to take shape!

It has been a busy week for John and Dom working on the shed for our new aquarium, the walls are up and the remainder of the tin is being put on the roof. Dom is very pleased with the new shed, it will give him much more room to work around the tank.
